Since ancient times, dreaming of learning something has been understood as a sign that capital for future use comes into your hands. A dream of receiving teachings from a master or acquiring new skills was seen as an auspicious sign of advancement through the guidance of a noble person, and the faster one applies what was learned, the quicker the fortune arrives. However, a dream of abandoning learning midway was interpreted as an admonition to be patient and see things through to the end.
